Tapputi is the commerce platform I designed, built and still run, made for the way perfume really sells in Iraq: decants, WhatsApp and cash on delivery. Every house gets its own storefront, admin and domain.

Named after Tappūtī-bēlat-ekalle, the perfumer of Assur whose recipe “fit for a king” survives on the cuneiform tablet KAR 220, c. 1200 BC. She is often called the first chemist on record.
